FERC: Maryland DNR Has 30 Days to Submit Advisory Report

In a letter dated yesterday, FERC informed Maryland Gov. Robert L. Ehrlich, Jr. that the Power Plant Research Program (PPRP) of the Maryland Department of Natural Resources has until February 7, 2007 to submit an advisory report on state and local safety issues associated AES’ proposed Sparrows Point LNG terminal. Pursuant to the Energy Policy Act of 2005, Ehrlich selected the PPRP of the DNR as Maryland’s designated state agency to confer with FERC regarding the project. The letter may be found in the FERC e-Library in Docket No. CP07-62.
