FERC has published a memorandum regarding the Downeast LNG import project, summarizing an inter-agency meeting on the project and stating that the next major step in FERC’s environmental review process will be the issuance of a supplement to the draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS), which will be subject to a 45-day public comment period. The memo also states that once FERC has all the information necessary to complete its environmental review, it will issue a revised Notice of Schedule for Environmental Review, which will announce the target date for issuing the final EIS and disclose the 90-day federal authorization action/decision deadline.
