FERC Endorses Settlement in M&NE Pipeline Gas Quality Proceeding
Platts LNG Daily [subscription required] reports that FERC has endorsed a settlement agreement in the Maritimes and Northeast Pipeline gas quality and interchangeability proceeding. The settlement addresses concerns regarding the changing composition of natural gas in New England as a result of anticipated flows of regasified LNG from the soon-to-be operational Canaport LNG import terminal in New Brunswick, Canada. It specifically sets a maximum Wobbe Index limit of 1395 for a two-year period or until 30 Bcf of regasified LNG is flowing on the pipeline.
