FERC Chairman Unsure of Effect of Global LNG Market on U.S. Prices
Federal Energy Regulatory Commission chairman Joseph Kelliher told an energy conference in Washington, D.C., that although he expects LNG prices around the world to converge, he is “not sure what impact that will have on the U.S. market.” According to Platts LNG Daily, Chairman Kelliher called the link between oil prices and the global LNG market “a little unnatural,” and went on to say that he believes it is more likely that the LNG market will diverge from global oil prices.
