FERC Chairman Tentatively Informs Alaskan Officials FERC May Not Oversee Proposed Gas Pipeline

According to the Fairbanks News Miner, this informal assessment is not final because the full commission has not addressed the question.

Separately, a study commissioned by Alaskan gas and electrical utilities concludes that if Alaskan gas demand continues to rise at its present pace, the state might need to begin importing LNG as soon as 2014. Platts LNG Daily [subscription required] offers further coverage.
