The Los Angeles Times provides local coverage of the Cabrillo Port final environmental impact statement, filed March 9, 2007. The FEIS/FEIR lists numerous mitigation measures designed to avoid or alleviate impacts, but states that “a number of adverse effects would remain significant and unavoidable.” Public hearings on the FEIS/FEIR are set to take place in April.
