Cheniere and Bechtel Announce Substantial Completion of CCL Train 1; FERC Authorizes CCL Liquefaction and Export Activities
Today, Cheniere Energy, Inc. (“Cheniere”) and Bechtel Oil, Gas and Chemicals, Inc. (“Bechtel”) announced that Substantial Completion of Train 1 of the Corpus Christi Liquefaction (“CCL”) project at Corpus Christi, Texas, was achieved on February 28, 2019. “Commissioning is complete and Bechtel has turned over care, custody, and control of Train 1 to Cheniere.” “Under sale and purchase agreements with Endesa S.A. and PT Pertamina (Persero), “the date of first commercial delivery is expected to occur in June 2019.” On Friday, FERC issued an order authorizing CCL “to commence service for liquefaction and export activities from the Train 1 and associated Stage 1 Outside Battery Limits facilities.”
