The Globe and Mail reports that Nexen Energy, partially owned by Chinese energy company CNOOC Ltd., has cancelled its proposed Aurora LNG export terminal project on Digby Island, British Columbia (B.C.) due to low LNG prices in Asian markets. The other owners of Aurora LNG are Japanese companies Inpex Corp., JGC Corp. and JOGMEC. According to the article, of the more than 20 LNG export terminal projects proposed for B.C., only Woodfibre LNG’s has moved forward.
