Fourchon LNG LLC has filed a letter requesting that FERC initiate its pre-filing environmental review procedures for Fourchon LNG’s proposed LNG export project, to be located in Lafourche Parish, La. Fourchon LNG proposes to site, construct, own, and operate a LNG liquefaction facility with a peak capacity of approximately five (5.0) million metric tons of LNG per annum and a ship berth on Belle Pass, Port Fourchon. Fourchon LNG states that after receiving the necessary authorizations, it intends to commence construction in phases, with the first phase commencing in the third quarter of 2019.
