DOE Releases LNG Export Data Through December 2016
The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has released data showing U.S. LNG import and export activity through December 2016. The report shows that during December, 15 cargoes of domestically produced LNG were exported via vessel from the Sabine Pass LNG terminal in Cameron Parish, La.: four cargoes to South Korea, three cargoes each to Mexico, China and Japan, and one cargo each to Egypt and Turkey. Prices ranged from $3.72 to $6.21/MMBtu. Through December 2016, a total of 60 cargoes of domestically produced LNG have been shipped from the Sabine Pass LNG terminal since the first cargo was shipped in February 2016. During December, four cargoes of domestically produced LNG were exported in ISO containers from the Hialeah facility near Medley, Fla. through Miami to Barbados, each at $10.00/MMBtu.
