Driftwood LNG Files Draft Resource Reports

Driftwood LNG (DWLNG) has filed draft Resource Reports 1 (General Project Description) and 10 (Alternatives) with FERC as part of the pre-filing environmental review process for its proposed liquefaction and LNG export terminal on the west bank of the Calcasieu River near Carlyss, Calcasieu Parish, La. DWLNG’s project will include five liquefaction plants capable of producing up to 26 million tonnes/year of LNG for export, a 96-mile interconnected pipeline, and marine facilities to accommodate three LNG carriers up to 216,000 cubic meters each at the same time. DWLNG anticipates filing its formal applications in March 2017 and will request that FERC issue the necessary authorizations for the project no later than March 2018. DWLNG anticipates commencing construction by the second quarter of 2018 and estimates a construction schedule for the entire project of seven years, with the first plant becoming operational in the fourth year.
