Woodfibre LNG Limited (Woodfibre LNG) announced that its Singapore-based affiliate, Woodfibre LNG Export Pte Ltd., has signed a Heads of Agreement with Guangzhou Gas Group Co., Ltd., for potential LNG offtake of 1 million tonnes/year LNG for 25 years starting in 2020. The LNG will be sourced from Woodfibre LNG’s proposed liquefaction and export terminal in the District of Squamish, British Columbia, and is contemplated to provide LNG supplies to Guangzhou City, People’s Republic of China. The proposed Woodfibre LNG Project is expected to start production in 2020 with an annual capacity of approximately 2.1 million tonnes.
