Cheniere to Launch First LNG Cargo from Sabine Pass Terminal

Today, Cheniere Energy Partners, L.P. announced that the first commissioning cargo with LNG produced from liquefaction Train 1 of its Sabine Pass liquefaction project in Cameron Parish, La. “will depart imminently.” According to the press release, the LNG will be shipped on the LNG carrier Asia Vision, chartered by Cheniere Marketing, LLC and will be heading to Brazil.
Separately, FERC issued an order granting Sabine Pass LNG’s request to continue further commissioning activities for Train 1 but requiring further information before the loading and export of any additional LNG produced during commissioning activities may proceed.
