Alaska LNG Project Faces “Significant Economic Headwinds”
Alaska Public Radio reports that representatives from the Alaska LNG Project told Alaska state legislators last week that the project faces “significant economic headwinds,” and while they remain committed to the project, the sponsors “have to be realistic about the project in this current price environment.” Sponsors of the proposed 800-mile pipeline and LNG export terminal are North Slope producers BP, ExxonMobil and ConocoPhillips, and Alaska Gasline Development Corporation, which represents the State of Alaska.
