HIOS Files Application to Serve Delfin Deepwater LNG Port

High Island Offshore System, L.L.C. (HIOS) has filed an application with FERC for authorization to abandon certain underutilized offshore pipeline facilities and transportation services to allow it to provide gas transportation service to the Delfin Deepwater Port LNG export terminal proposed for offshore Louisiana. HIOS states that once FERC approves the abandonment, the facilities will be used exclusively for the Delfin Deepwater Port and will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the U.S. Maritime Administration and the U. S. Coast Guard under the Deepwater Port Act of 1974, as amended.
