Congressman Poe Introduces Bill to Expedite U.S. LNG Exports

U.S. Representative Ted Poe (R-TX) has introduced H.R. 428, the Export American Natural Gas Act of 2015, which, according to the press release, would require the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) to make a decision on whether to approve or deny LNG export applications within 60 days. The bill also provides that if DOE does not make a decision to either approve or deny a license application within the 60-day deadline, the application would automatically be approved.
