Cheniere Energy, Inc. subsidiary Corpus Christi Liquefaction, LLC (CCL) has entered into an LNG sale and purchase agreement (SPA) with Spanish company Endesa Generacion, S.A. (Endesa) under which Endesa will purchase 1.5 million tonnes of LNG per year over a 20-year period from the proposed CCL export terminal near Corpus Christi, Texas. According to the press release, a final investment decision on the project is expected in early 2015. Under the SPA, Endesa will purchase the LNG on a Free on Board basis for a purchase price indexed to the monthly Henry Hub price plus a fixed component, with deliveries expected to start as early as 2018.
