DOE Authorizes Additional Export Volumes from Proposed Magnolia LNG Terminal
The U.S. Department of Energy has authorized Magnolia LNG to export an additional 4 million tonnes/year of LNG from its proposed LNG terminal at Lake Charles, La. to nations with a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with the United States requiring national treatment for trade in natural gas. The volume is in addition to the 4 million tonnes/year Magnolia is already authorized to export to FTA nations. Magnolia’s application to export LNG to non-FTA countries remains pending before DOE.
