Excelerate Files Application with FERC to Construct a Floating LNG Export Terminal
Excelerate Energy’s subsidiary, Excelerate Liquefaction Solutions (Excelerate), filed an application with FERC to construct two LNG floating liquefaction, storage, and offloading units (FLSO) at the Port of Port Lavaca-Point Comfort, Texas and an interconnecting pipeline. Excelerate states that the project will be constructed in two phases with one FLSO to be constructed in each phase. Each FLSO will have liquefaction capacity of 5 million tonnes per year and the projected in-service date for the entire project is fourth quarter 2018.
