Texas LNG and Gasfin Development File for DOE LNG Export Authorizations
Texas LNG filed an application with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) to export LNG to nations with and without a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with the United States. Texas LNG proposes to export on its own behalf and as agent for others up to 2 million tonnes of LNG per year (approximately 0.27 Bcf/day) over a 25 year period from its proposed South Texas LNG Export Project at the Port of Brownsville, Texas. Texas LNG’s application can be found here.
Gasfin Development filed an application with DOE to export its own behalf and as agent for others up to 74 Bcf of LNG per year (approximately 0.2 Bcf/day) over a 20 year term to non-FTA nations from its proposed Gasfin LNG Export Project terminal along the Calcasieu River, Cameron Parish, La. Gasfin has already received DOE authorization to export LNG from the Project to FTA nations. Gasfin’s non-FTA application can be found here.
