Alaska Governor Seeks State Participation in LNG Project
In an opinion piece in the Anchorage Daily News, Alaska Governor Parnell urged support for state participation in the Alaska LNG Project, which would involve construction of a pipeline to access North Slope gas supplies and an interconnection to a proposed LNG export terminal on the south central coast of Alaska. Parnell stated that benefits of Alaskan ownership or participation in the project include ensuring that “the state will receive a share of profits over the entirety of the project” and “that we either pay ourselves for project services or, at the very least, negotiate the lowest possible costs.” Read more in the Alaska Dispatch article.
