Sabine Pass LNG Files Monthly Construction Progress Report
Sabine Pass LNG (SPL) has filed with FERC its monthly construction progress report covering October 2013 for its LNG export terminal in Cameron Parish, La. The report states that Stage 1 (Trains 1 and 2) engineering is 83.2% complete, procurement is 73.2% complete, and subcontract and direct hire construction work are 29.8% and 9.1% complete, respectively. Stage 1 overall project completion is 47.4%, against the plan of 48.4%. Stage 2 (Trains 3 and 4) engineering is now 25.3% complete, procurement is 22.6% complete, and subcontract and direct hire construction work are 1.3% and 0.0% complete, respectively. The overall project completion is 12.8% against the plan of 12.7%. SPL states that construction progress continues to support the achievement of the scheduled Substantial Completion Dates for Trains 1 and 2, which remain February 2016 and June 2016. The scheduled Train 3 and 4 Substantial Completion Dates are April 2017 and August 2017.
