Alaska Legislature Reviewing LNG Project Report
The Anchorage Daily News reports that next legislative session Alaska state lawmakers will begin reviewing the Alaska North Slope Royalty Study, which recommends the fiscal and policy measures needed to advance the proposed Alaska LNG export project. The project, sponsored by North Slope producers Exxon Mobil, Conoco Phillips, BP, and possibly TransCanada, would involve construction of a pipeline to transport Alaska North Slope gas to a proposed liquefaction plant and LNG export terminal in south central Alaska for export, primarily to Asian markets.
