Clatsop County Commissioners Deny Permit for Oregon LNG Terminal and Pipeline
The Daily Astorian reports that after two years of legal challenges the Board of Clatsop County Commissioners unanimously rejected Oregon LNG and Oregon Pipeline Company’s application for a land use permit to construct an LNG terminal and interconnected pipeline in Warrenton, Ore., ruling that parts of the pipeline project conflicted with zoning regulations for forest and shoreline acres within Clatsop County. In response to the decision, Oregon LNG stated that federal regulators will have final authority over construction of the project.
