Alternative LNG Export Terminal Proposal Presented to Alaskan Officials
The Alaska Journal of Commerce reports that Japanese-owned Resources Energy Inc. (REI) has presented a study to Alaskan officials on the feasibility of constructing an LNG export terminal at either Valdez or Nikiski, along with an interconnected pipeline to North Slope gas supplies. According to the article, REI’s proposal is less costly and could be developed more quickly than the proposal by major North Slope producers and TransCanada.
