Sabine Pass Files for DOE Authority to Export LNG Pursuant to Centrica Contract
Sabine Pass Liquefaction LLC (SPL) filed an application with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) to export 91,250,000 MMBtu per year (approximately 88.3 Bcf) of domestically produced LNG pursuant to the terms of the LNG Sale and Purchase Agreement between SPL as seller and Centrica PLC as buyer. SPL seeks authority to export the LNG from SPL’s terminal at Sabine Pass, La. to nations with and without a Free Trade Agreement with the United States.
