Court Appeal Challenges LNG Canada Development’s NEB Export License

CBC News reports that British Columbia First Nation Gitxaala has filed a court appeal challenging the LNG export license granted by the National Energy Board to LNG Canada Development Inc., a joint venture of Shell Canada Energy and affiliates of KOGAS, Mitsubishi Corporation and PetroChina Company Limited. The Gitxaala contend that the NEB did not consult them in approving the license, and seek to revoke or stay the authorization until the Gitxaala’s concerns are addressed.
