Sierra Club Requests Stay of FERC Authorization for Sabine Pass Feeder Pipeline
Sierra Club filed a request for rehearing and for stay of FERC’s order granting authorization to Cheniere Creole Trail Pipeline, L.P. to construct facilities to enable bi-directional flow on its pipeline to deliver natural gas to the Sabine Pass LNG terminal for liquefaction and export. Sierra Club alleges that FERC’s order did not adequately consider the potential environmental harms from increased gas production that may be induced by approval of the pipeline project and the resulting LNG exports. Sierra Club’s request can be found on eLibrary under Docket No. CP12-351.
