American Chemistry Council Reaffirms Support of LNG Exports

The American Chemistry Council released a statement yesterday reaffirming its opposition to new LNG export restrictions and its support of LNG exports under existing laws. The statement notes that “[t]here is a lack of clear consensus among our members concerning whether the Natural Gas Act’s ‘public interest’ requirement should be further defined in export permitting for non- [Free Trade Agreement] countries. ACC therefore will further study this issue and ways to achieve consensus.” Read more in the UPI article.
