Shell Executive Urges Canadian LNG Export Terminal Operations Within the Decade
Royal Dutch Shell PLC’s Chief Executive Officer Peter Voser told reporters yesterday that Canadian LNG export terminals need to be in operation within the decade to capture a share of the Asian LNG market and that he believes the streamlined regulatory review process proposed by the government will permit such a timeline. Voser added that news may be forthcoming about Shell’s plans for pipeline infrastructure to supply its proposed export terminal near Kitimat, British Columbia, where according to the Calgary Herald, there are no pipelines in place to serve LNG terminals proposed for that location.
