In a press release on a recent dinner that Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) had with the Japanese and South Korean ambassadors, Murkowski stated that the ambassadors “recognize the ample opportunities for investment that exist in Alaska” and that “Alaska’s vast natural gas resources represent a very real energy security benefit” for those nations. The dinner marked the first time that Murkowski has discussed Alaska LNG exports with South Korean officials.
