BP LNG Strategist Does Not Expect Lower Gas Prices in Europe Due to Potential U.S. LNG Exports
Speaking to an industry conference in London yesterday, Andrew Walker, head of BP’s LNG strategy, said that he does not expect Europe to see significantly lower gas prices due to U.S. LNG exports. According to Platts, Walker said that potential regulatory and commodity risks for U.S. LNG exports limit their attractiveness to European and Asian LNG buyers.
[Update: Although Platts reported that Andrew Walker is the head of BP’s LNG strategy team, LNGLawBlog notes that Walker is actually the head of LNG strategy for BG Group Plc.]
