Some U.S. Companies Raise Concerns About U.S. LNG Export Volumes
The Financial Times reports that several U.S. companies, including Alcoa and members of the Industrial Energy Consumers of America (IECA), have voiced concerns regarding the possible effect U.S. LNG exports will have on domestic natural gas prices. IECA noted that the group is not opposed to natural gas exports, but that it wants the U.S. Department of Energy to conduct a “thorough analysis” of market impacts before authorizing LNG exports.
