The U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Office of Fossil Energy has approved an application by Cameron LNG, LLC to export LNG to countries with which the United States has entered free trade agreements (FTA), or countries with which the United States may enter free trade agreements in the future. The authorization permits Cameron LNG to export up to 12 million metric tons of LNG per annum over a term of 20 years.
