Crown Landing LLC has surrendered its LNG import and regasification authorization issued by FERC. In its letter to the Commission, available in the eLibrary under Docket No. CP04-411, Crown Landing noted that increased production from North American gas shale plays and growing demand for natural gas around the world have combined to “make it unlikely that the company can secure supplies of LNG on economic terms attractive enough to ensure the sustained profitability of the project at the proposed site.” The News Journal offers additional coverage.
