Thomas Farrell II, CEO of Dominion Resources Inc., said that his company’s proposal to add liquefaction export capacity at the Cove Point LNG facility will encourage development of U.S. shale natural gas resources, particularly in the Marcellus and Utica shale regions. Farrell noted that “[i]t is in our nation’s best interests to develop our natural resources responsibly and reliably,” and that LNG exports from the Cove Point terminal will “improve the nation’s balance of trade.” Find further coverage in the Wall Street Journal.
