Cheniere Energy Raises Projected Cost for Long-Term LNG Processing Capacity at Sabine Pass LNG Terminal
Cheniere Energy CEO Charif Souki told Platts LNG Daily [subscription required] yesterday that he expects long-term customers at the Sabine Pass LNG terminal will be charged between $2 and $3 per MMBtu of natural gas processing. Souki noted that construction costs for the company’s planned LNG liquefaction project have not increased, but the company has found a stronger market for its liquefaction services than it anticipated.
