Local Businessman Supports LNG Imports to The Bahamas
Khaalis Rolle, a businessman and former Bahamas Chamber of Commerce and Employers Confederation chairman, said this week that he hopes The Bahamas will pursue LNG imports and oil exploration to diversify the country’s economy and lessen reliance on the financial services and tourism industries. The Tribune suggests that, although the proposed AES Ocean Express LNG import terminal is not currently under development, the project could be revived.
