Dominion Cove Point Submits LNG Export Application to DOE

According to MarketWatch, Dominion Cove Point has submitted an application to the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) to export up to 1Bcf/d of U.S. domestic natural gas as LNG to countries with which the United States has entered or will enter into free trade agreements. The application contemplates an export authorization term of 25 years. In addition, Dominion Cove Point also requested LNG re-export authority in an application submitted to DOE last month.
