Sempra LNG Considering LNG Export Project

Reuters reports that a spokesperson for Sempra LNG said yesterday that it would consider building an LNG liquefaction facility in the United States if other parties would agree “to shoulder the market risks.” The company spokesperson went on to note that “[b]uilding a liquefaction facility in the U.S. … only makes sense if prices in the U.S. remain significantly lower than Europe or Asia for the long term.”
