Speaking yesterday to Dow Jones (carried via AutomatedTrader.net), an official for Apache Corp. offered a status update on the Kitimat LNG export project. The official said that Kitimat LNG should receive its final permits by the end of 2011 and that LNG sales contracts to Asian LNG purchasers could be completed by late 2011 as well. He also noted that final investments for the project will be made early next year and that the project could be completed by 2015.
