A spokesperson for ConocoPhillips told KTUU News that the company still plans to shut down the Kenai LNG liquefaction facility despite expected increased Japanese demand for LNG following an earthquake last week. The company representative noted that ConocoPhillips is willing to assist Japan with its short-term energy needs.
