Massachusetts, Rhode Island Residents Meet to Discuss Opposition to Weaver’s Cove LNG Project
The Herald News (Fall River, Mass.) reports that Massachusetts and Rhode Island local officials and residents met yesterday to discuss their continuing opposition to the Weaver’s Cove LNG import project at the second Congress of Councils. Fall River Mayor Will Flanagan reiterated his opposition to the project and his hope that other communities would continue their opposition as well, saying, “The City of Fall River is committed to fighting this [Weaver’s Cove LNG] project to the end, but we can’t do it without your help.”
