Late last month, the U.S. Coast Guard denied an administrative appeal to the agency’s Letter of Recommendation submitted by Rhode Island in the Weaver’s Cove LNG project proceeding. The Coast Guard clarified its role in the LNG facility site permitting process, noting that its Letter of Recommendation “is not an enforceable order,” and examined and dispensed with a number of specific issues raised by Rhode Island. The letter is available in FERC’s eLibrary under Docket No. CP04-36.
