Citing projected natural gas shortfalls, Joe Griffith of Matanuska Electric Association told the Alaska Dispatch that Alaska will need LNG imports to make up supply shortages. The Dispatch notes that a number of Alaskan organizations are also studying the necessity of LNG imports to Alaska.
