Repsol Official: Canaport LNG Provides Unique Service to Region

Speaking to the Telegraph-Journal this week, Phil Ribbeck, president of Repsol Energy North America, said that “[t]he Canaport terminal is needed” and that the Canaport LNG facility “provide[s] a service right now that no one else can provide.” An economist at the U.S. Energy Information Administration also noted that the Canaport facility’s proximity to markets in the northeast United States and eastern Canada is a strategic advantage.
