Mass. Congressmen Target Weaver’s Cove LNG Project with Appropriations Measure

United States Reps. Barney Frank (D-Mass.) and James McGovern (D-Mass.) have said that they will attempt to insert language into a federal appropriations bill that would prohibit the U.S. Department of Energy from using appropriated funds to pay for further review of the Weaver’s Cove LNG project. Representative Frank also noted that Sen. Scott Brown (R-Mass.) has offered his support for the measure. The Boston Herald offers additional coverage.
