This week the Jamaican government renewed its efforts to diversify its energy portfolio by importing LNG. According to the Jamaica Gleaner, the Jamaica Public Service Company estimates that customers could see a 25-30 percent reduction for electricity costs and a number of government officials highlighted the importance of adding LNG to the country’s fuel mix.
