The Rhode Island Senate has established a special task force charged with reviewing the revised design of the Weaver’s Cove LNG import project. The task force will study the proposed project and, according to Senate President M. Teresa Paiva Weed (D), “provide legislative solutions if necessary.” Senator Charles J. Separately, Weaver’s Cove LNG submitted additional material it says supports its position that the project now fulfills Environmental Condition 40 of FERC’s conditional order approving the project, which concerns thermal exclusion zones. Weaver’s Cove LNG’s supplemental material is available in the FERC eLibrary under Docket No. CP04-36.
