LNVA Wants to Provide Additional Water to LNG Terminals on Texas Gulf Coast
The Cherokeean Herald (Rusk, Texas) reports that the Lower Neches Valley Authority (LNVA) has proposed securing additional fresh water resources for existing and proposed LNG terminals along the Texas Gulf Coast as part of the Draft 2011 Regional Water Plan. Critics of the proposal argue that using fresh water for regasification and other industrial purposes at these facilities is not an appropriate use of these resources.
